Learn About Our Homes
Each of our homes is carefully chosen for its location, its layout, and its suitability for the young people who will live there. We do not run large residential units. Our homes are deliberately small, homely, and embedded within ordinary residential communities.
What Makes Our Homes Different
We believe that the environment in which a young person lives has a profound effect on their sense of safety, wellbeing, and ability to thrive. We’ve therefore put considerable thought and care into every aspect of our homes, from the physical spaces to the daily rhythms of home life.
Each of our properties is a genuine family home. Young people are encouraged to personalise their own rooms, take part in cooking and household tasks, and feel a real sense of ownership over the space they live in.
One home will support up to three young people. This small-scale approach means that staff can provide consistent, attentive care, and that young people are not lost in a large group. Our homes are in the Northeast of England, set within calm, semi-rural surroundings that provide young people with the space and peace they need to feel settled. Young people have access to local amenities, outdoor activities, and community life.
Education, Health, and Wellbeing
Supporting each young person’s education, physical health, and emotional wellbeing is a core part of our work. We work closely with schools, health services, and therapeutic professionals to ensure that every aspect of a young person’s development is actively supported.
Life in our homes is active, varied, and fun. Young people can enjoy arts and crafts, cooking, sport, and outdoor activities at home, and we regularly organise trips, adventures, and holidays across the UK. Where a young person has a particular interest or hobby, we do everything we can to support and encourage it.
